Information for new students

Check that all your papers (passport etc) are valid and correct.

Ensure you have entry clearance, i.e. a visa if required. If you are unsure of your visa requirements, please visit: www.ukvisas.gov.uk and www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk

**We are listed on the Tier 4 Register of sponsoring colleges and are A-rated, this means we are licensed by the UK Border Agency (UKBA) to take international students on a student licence.**

Organise travel/medical insurance or ask us to arrange this for you with Endsleigh insurance. www.endsleigh.co.uk

Advise the Suzanne Sparrow Plymouth Language School of your arrival details.

Ensure you have sufficient money for your stay but do not travel with large amounts of cash!

Arrange your transport from the airport to Plymouth. We will be more than happy to assist with the booking if required.

If you intend to open a bank account in the UK please bring some form of identification from your home country such as a bill with your name and address in your own country stated on it.

We also recommend that you bring the following:

  • Pens/pencils
  • Paper or a small exercise book for recording new words and phrases
  • An English-English dictionary if you have one
  • A European adaptor for electrical devices (240 volts in the UK)
