A short drive from Plymouth you will find the ancient moorland of Dartmoor National Park with its stone-age relics and free roaming ponies. Dartmoor is a paradise for walkers and nature enthusiasts. Nearby are numerous sandy beaches where you can surf, swim and enjoy other water sports. To the east of Plymouth is the rich landscape of the South Hams with its stunning scenery and numerous cultural heritage sites.
